Alumni Weekend 2017
Thank YOU for being a part of Marylhurst’s story.
We want to celebrate your story, your journey at Alumni Weekend 2017!
President Melody Rose will tell you about our vision for Marylhurst University’s future: to become the premier academic and cultural hub in the Northwest region.
The Sisters’ Journey: A Legacy of Faith beautifully portrays our Sisters’ incredible journey across a continent — the past that formed our foundation — through musical compositions by Marylhurst students and narration by President Melody Rose. The performance features an ensemble of professional musicians led by music professor John Haek.
Telling Stories, Changing Lives: The Art of Storytelling in the Work of Building Community with Will Hornyak. Will teaches Storytelling in Business Communication at Marylhurst University and assists corporate and nonprofit organizations in telling the stories that reflect their values, vision and mission.
Marylhurst Alumni Stories - “The Moth” Style. We want to hear your five-minute “must-tell” tales of Marylhurst, as inspired by “The Moth” live storytelling sessions. Ten willing alumni will be drawn from a hat for the chance to share their story. For short storytelling tips and tricks, visit themoth.org.
